About the Role

Projects (automation, tooling, VAVE) and daily business support.
Project ownership as defined
Hands on position. 65 % plant floor / 35 % office/meeting.
Identify, plan and implement ideas to troubleshoot, improve and maintain efficiency on existing equipment.
Manage ( both planning and hands on ) new equipment / automation projects.
Take ownership to install, troubleshoot, launch, meet productivity goal.
Support Tooling and Equipment department as needed.
Support implementation of a Tooling Tracking and Maintenance program.
Work with external vendors as needed.
"Hands on" troubleshooting of process, mechanical, electrical, controls and other machine issues.
Work with Process Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production and SCM teams as a team member
Track and react to downtime issues real time. Provide downtime reporting including root cause analysis and resolution. Formalized. Train operators, leads and other personnel on proper operation of machine.
Work cohesively within a team. Document and provide properly formatted data showing results of projects and work. Use of formal problem solving tools and project management tools.
Collaboration with other MFD sites and AME Requirements

Skills Required:

Experience and training with mechanical, electrical, controls and tooling in machinery and automation.
Both theoretical and hands on.
Key - understanding of robots and automation.
"Hands On" experience.
Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, process, controls and sensor issues.
Project management experience and aptitude
Experience with pumps and pumping systems.
"Ownership" experience on a manufacturing line
Computer skills - outlook, teams, excel, word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD etc.
Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and schematics..
Light machining and fabrication skills desired but not required.
Use of measurement tools - micrometer etc.

Education/Experience
High School Diploma required
BS or Technical Training degree ( i.e. Mechatronics )
Appropriate experience will be considered instead.
